In recent decades, filmmakers have delved deeply into Irish history and culture to create beautiful stories and make unique contributions to global cinema. Explore the backstory of three Irish movies and examine themes of myth, familial bonds, politics and nationalism of Ireland through the lens of film. Join fellow lifelong learners in this new course that includes light refreshments and casual discussion at the end of each movie. Featured films are The Secret of Roan Inish, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, and The Quiet Girl.
