Graduation
Commencement will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 in the Wachholz College Center’s McClaren Hall from 6-8pm.
Seating is limited in McClaren Hall. While no tickets are required, we request students limit guests to five or less to accommodate all families although more guests may attend. Doors will open to guests at 5pm and seating is on a first-come-first-seated basis.
The graduation ceremony at Flathead Valley Community College marks a milestone in your life and we truly hope you will choose to be part of this celebration as we honor you and your achievements along with those of your fellow classmates.
Cap and Gowns
Cap and gowns will be available for pick up on May 2 and May 3 from 9am-3pm in the Student Lounge, LRC 102. Please plan to pick regalia up during this time.
If you need someone else to pick up your regalia, we do require written permission from you in order to release your cap and gown to someone other than the graduate!
After the scheduled pick-up days, regalia will be available in the Admissions & Registration Office.

Honor Cords
For graduates with cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above, cords will be with your regalia.
Day of Graduation Check In and Lineup
Friday, May 10 in the Fitness Center of the Wachholz College Center, 5:15 pm check in and 5:30 pm line-up. Staff from Student Services will be there to assist with the line-up.
The fitness center doors are located on the northwest corner of the WCC building.
Four Steps to Graduation
STEP 1: Print and review your degree audit with your advisor.
As an FVCC student, you are responsible for following curriculum, meeting graduation requirements and/or meeting transfer requirements. Assistance in planning acceptable programs is available from faculty and advisors.
Your degree audit is available on the Student Portal. If you do not see your degree audit or have trouble accessing it, please contact the Registrar’s Office at (406) 756-3845.
STEP 2: Apply for graduation
STEP 3: Submit your documents
Submit a copy of your degree audit signed by your advisor (see step 1), the completed graduation application (see step 2), and any waivers and substitutions to the Registrar’s Office by the graduation application deadline. See the academic calendar for current deadlines.
STEP 4: Order your cap and gown online
Place your order for your cap and gown online. Make sure to click "There is no payment! Hooray!" in order to submit your order.
