FAQs

Anyone 16 and up can participate in our programs. High school students 16-18 years old must submit high school or homeschool withdrawal letters, as well as other forms depending on age. Contact us for more details. All of FVCC Adult Education services are free to the public. We do require a pre-test using the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) to determine service needs and to participate in our programs. Students who complete the TABE pre-test, 40 hours of instructional time, and a TABE post-test will be eligible for our scholarship program which covers the cost of HSE Tests. Contact us to get scheduled for an orientation. Students 16 years old must meet with the director and a parent/guardian to go over required documentation prior to orientation. At orientation, we cover required paperwork, class schedules and expectations, HSE information and account setup, online homework program signup, services offered, scholarship information and TABE pre-testing. Contact us for the next available orientation and start of classes. You will need to provide your legal first and last name, age, date of birth, gender, type of valid identification you will use, required documentation based on age, phone number and email.
