Library Rooms & Reservations
The library has a variety of spaces available for student and community use.
Study rooms, classrooms and the Makerspace can only be reserved by FVCC students, faculty and staff for campus related activities.
Open Spaces (no reservations required)
Common Ground Cafe
Seating available for large and small groups, as well as individuals looking to study, sip a beverage from the cafe, or just take a moment to relax. This space is open during library hours, but the Common Ground Cafe is open from 8am-2:30pm Monday-Friday.
Quiet Study Room
This room is set up with individualized seating for working alone. No talking or cell phone use is permitted.
Reservations Required
*Collaborative Study Rooms (2 available)
Seats 2-5 people for two hours at a time, up to ten days in advance. Both rooms contain whiteboards and display monitors for easy laptop connection.
*Classrooms (2 available)
Seats up to 20 people each, and can also be set up as one larger classroom for 40. Users can login to a 70-inch touch-screen computer for easy collaboration. This space is great for large study groups and student organization meetings.
*Makerspace
This room has a seating capacity of 16 with flexible seating, a whiteboard wall, sink, 70-inch touch-screen computer, and a variety of equipment.
Recording Studio
Create videos without previous production experience. The One Button Studio streamlines video recording. All of the lighting, audio, and video equipment is already in place so no set-up is required. You just need to bring your own empty USB flash drive.
Podcast Station
Audio/video recording station, called a Marantz Professional Turret, located inside the recording studio. Bring your own laptop or request one at the circulation desk. If requesting a laptop, talk with library staff about your storage options.
Virtual Reality Room
This room is designed to provide access to an immersive, real-time virtual experience for users with no prior experience or training using this technology. This room utilizes an Oculus Rift and various VR apps.

Submitting a request does not guarantee availability of rooms for reservation. You will receive an email confirmation from library staff if reservation is successful.
