Logan Health to expand Orthopedic specialty care to Glacier and Toole County
Logan Health in Cut Bank and Shelby are proud to announce the addition of orthopedic services beginning March 20, 2025, provided by Logan Health family nurse practitioner and orthopedic specialist, John Willcut, FNP-C. John is now accepting orthopedic patients of all ages for March 20 at Logan Health - Shelby and March 21 at Logan Health – Cut Bank.
Orthopedic services available locally include total joint and sports medicine consultations, plus preventive care and management of conditions or injuries that affect bones, muscles and joints. Onsite physical and occupational therapy is available at both hospitals for close-to-home rehabilitation services. Patients can conveniently be referred to Logan Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine specialists in Kalispell for advanced orthopedic care.
“I previously provided outreach to Polson and Libby, and I enjoyed meeting patients in their hometown to provide orthopedic care,” said John Willcut. “This will save patients travel time, as well.”
John is a graduate of Flathead Valley Community College and he graduated with his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Montana State University. He has surgical and family practice experience and is experienced in providing comprehensive orthopedic care. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing.
“Our community appreciates the opportunity to have orthopedic services locally until it is necessary to drive to a larger city for a higher level of care,” said Cherie Taylor, President of Logan Health – Cut Bank and Chester. “It saves our patients a lot of time and travel costs to be able to have those services here.”
In addition to orthopedics, Logan Health critical access hospitals in Cut Bank and Shelby offer a range of visiting specialty services, including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and more.
“We are excited to expand the offering of specialty care in our community,” said Vicki Newmiller, President of Logan Health – Shelby and Conrad. “Expanding access to exceptional providers is an important strategic goal and having an orthopedic specialist in Shelby will help us meet the needs in our community.”
The addition of orthopedic care to the Hi-Line region aligns with Logan Health’s commitment to providing quality, compassionate care to all the communities who are served, making sure access to the services that are needed are available right where you live.
