Wachholz Lineup Includes Comedian Tom Papa
The Wachholz College Center has an electrifying lineup in March.
Highlighting the month's schedule is comedian Tom Papa, singer-songwriter Brett Dennen with an opening set by Kalispell artist Mike Murray, Celtic music favorite Lúnasa and Grammy-winning trio Time for Three.
Get ready to laugh March 1 when Papa brings his unique brand of observational humor and witty insights into the quirks of everyday life.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience to the stage, Papa’s recorded several stand-up specials, the latest, “What a Day!” premiering on Netflix in 2022. He has appeared on the late-night show circuit with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel. He is a regular guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast and hosts “What A Joke With Papa And Fortune [Feimster],” on SiriusXM’s Netflix channel.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Dennen takes the stage March 7 for a night of soulful tunes and heartwarming stories as part of the “Lift Series.”
Now in its seventh year the “Lift Series” is Dennen’s annual tour of America’s best ski towns.
His signature red hair and lanky frame are as unmistakable as his music, described in his bio as a distinct blend of folk-pop melodies, thought-provoking lyrics, and soulful vocal prowess.
His latest album, “See the World,” was released in 2021.
Murray, known for music that “embodies the pureness of a classic folk storyteller,” will be the concert opener.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m. March 10, experience the magic of Irish music with Lúnasa, the internationally renowned Celtic ensemble. With their virtuosic instrumental skills and dynamic performances, Lúnasa has captivated audiences around the globe. From traditional jigs and reels to contemporary compositions, their music celebrates the rich heritage of Irish culture while pushing the boundaries of the genre.
On March 17, it’s Time for Three, a genre-defying string trio hailed as "classical music's most unlikely rock stars." Blending elements of classical, jazz, and pop music, Time for Three pushes the boundaries of traditional performance with their electrifying style and boundless creativity.
